WPCE is delighted to have secured several craft artisans who are pleased to share their skills with visitors at these workshops.

Visitors will be able to create a unique craft item, with the guidance of the guest workshop teacher, to take away with them. Registration is preferred as numbers are limited.


Paint a Plant Pot

In this workshop, you will learn how to unleash your creativity by painting your very own terracotta garden pot. 

Dive into a world of fun as you choose from a variety of props, paints, and accessories to bring your pot to life. Create whimsical characters or let your imagination run wild with abstract or realistic designs – the choice is yours. Plus, you get to take your masterpiece home on the day!

This workshop is all about having fun and exploring your artistic side. Our friendly instructors will guide you through the process, making sure you feel comfortable and inspired every step of the way.

During the workshop, you will be working with terracotta pots, paint, and various decorative materials. Get ready to get your hands dirty and unleash your inner artist in a supportive and encouraging environment. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a first-time painter, this activity is sure to leave you feeling accomplished and proud of your creation.

Your instructor will be Yvonne Watson of Annie’s Art Class, who has a BA (Hons) FINE ARTS.

Easter Cup Cake Decorating

This workshop will be an introduction to the craft of beautiful  cake decorating. With guidance from your instructor, Narelle, you will be able to have a fun time creating four beautifully decorated Easter Cupcakes, then take home your delicious creations to share with friends and family.

Your instructor will be Narelle Harvey whose local business – Confetti Cakes – produces beautifully decorated cakes to order.

Make a ‘Little Nest’ brooch

  • Cost $35 per person

Come join us in making your own little nest brooch. We will learn how to cut and sew your own adorable brooch
using wool felt. Basic sewing experience is recommended in order to complete this project. Dress up your winter wear and make this whimsical handcrafted brooch with felt with guidance from Ashlee of ‘Inkblot Lane’.

This workshop was featured in a recent Melbourne ‘Quilt & Craft’ show.

Ashlee Littlehales is the creative mind behind Inkblot Lane. Inkblot Lane began humbly on Etsy in 2021 and now has over 40 whimsical patterns that are designed to be enjoyed and incorporated into everyday life. She studied Fine Arts at the University of Ballarat (now Federation University) and Primary Education at Monash University. As an Arts Educator for over 10 years Ashlee has a passion for teaching and building confidence across many art mediums. She currently lives in a small country town in regional Victora, where she dreams up new craft patterns and explores the possibilities of wool felt.
